Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Merchandise Associate to join our team at HomeGoods. As a Merchandise Associate, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by engaging with customers, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and adhering to all operational and merchandise standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, responding to their needs, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment by adhering to all visual merchandising standards and ensuring that the sales floor is free of clutter and obstacles.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including ringing sales, handling returns, and counting change.
  • Support the sales floor by restocking merchandise, maintaining inventory levels, and participating in visual merchandising efforts.
  • Participate in store recovery efforts to maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Work effectively with peers and supervisors to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store culture.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong ability to work with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
