We're seeking a skilled Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be proficient in caring for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment. As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information, detecting any changes and enabling intervention in life-threatening or emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Basic Bedside Care: Stabilize critical cardiac patients and provide essential care to ensure patient comfort and well-being.
- Perform Medical Procedures: Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
- Administer Medication: Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Monitor and Adjust Equipment: Interpret and record electronic displays, and initiate corrective action when necessary.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Education: Current RN licensure and a degree in nursing.
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS certifications are required. Additional certifications may be necessary before beginning an assignment.
- Experience: 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
