Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at Plaskolite Inc. as an Industrial Process Specialist. This role will be responsible for leading troubleshooting efforts on extrusion equipment and processing issues, providing engineering and technical leadership, and developing and implementing continuous improvement plans to promote process optimization and resolve reoccurring reliability concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead troubleshooting efforts on extrusion equipment and processing issues to minimize downtime and optimize production.
- Provide engineering and technical leadership from concept development to implementation of new equipment and process implementations, including standard operating procedure development, capital planning, and project planning and implementation.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement plans to promote process optimization and resolve reoccurring reliability concerns, resulting in improved product quality and reduced costs.
- Lead the development and implementation of capital projects to optimize machine capabilities and reliability, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic plans.
- Assist maintenance personnel in addressing reliability issues and developing preventative maintenance measures to support equipment reliability, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production.
- Oversee outside suppliers and contractors as necessary to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Lead training for engineers, maintenance, and manufacturing personnel on new equipment and processes, ensuring seamless adoption and optimal utilization.
- Assist manufacturing efforts in all new product and process development trials, ensuring successful launch and optimal production.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or other engineering discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational skills and a systematic approach to problem definition and solution development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Leadership abilities to lead projects and teams, with a strong focus on collaboration and results-driven decision making.
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently, with a high level of autonomy and accountability.
