About the Role:

The American Parkinson Disease Association is seeking a highly skilled Fundraising Director to lead our revenue growth through strategic identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of corporate and individual prospects. This position will be responsible for cultivating and securing financial contributions from individuals, businesses, and organizations in support of APDA's events, activities, and programs.

This leadership role requires exceptional relationship-building skills, strong communication abilities, and a proven track record of revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of philanthropic communities, the ability to establish performance metrics, and a motivated approach to meet and exceed fundraising goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate and secure new corporate sponsors while strengthening relationships with current and past sponsors
  • Develop and achieve annual event revenue and expense budgets
  • Create inspiring direct mail appeals and online fundraising campaigns
  • Develop solicitation materials, write proposals, and present to donors and sponsors

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or communications/marketing discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate development or event/fundraising
  • Proven track record of revenue growth and success
  • Ability to engage staff, volunteers, sponsors, donors, and others towards achievement of fundraising goals
