Job Summary

Jillamy Inc is seeking a skilled CDL Driver to join our team. As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a straight truck to designated locations and ensuring the efficient transportation of freight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Tractor-Trailer Unit: Safely transport freight to one or more destinations in compliance with all regulations, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
  • Adhere to Safety Standards: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety standards and policies.
  • Ensure Safe Loading and Transportation: Safely load, handle, and transport materials and cargo.
  • Manage Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Track and Document Activity: Accurately track and document activity logs and report any issues or incidents to dispatch or supervisor.
  • Communicate Effectively: Provide professional and courteous service to customers and the general public.
  • Perform Dock Work: Load and unload freight as needed, and operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Meet Requirements: Maintain a valid CDL and DOT physical/medical card, and meet all regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL and DOT Physical/Medical Card: Required to perform the job successfully.
  • Minimum 3 Years CDL Licensed Driving Experience: Required, and may be required to pass a road test.
  • Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with Endorsements: Must provide a copy of MVR with endorsements issued within 30 days.
  • Experience with Driving Technology and Logs: Preferred.
  • Ability to Lift Up to 50 Pounds: Required.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Required.
  • Ability to Work in a Team Environment: Required.
  • Experience with Standard Microsoft Office and Transportation-Related Technology: Preferred.
  • Ability to Work in a Constant State of Alertness: Required.
