Our ASE certified professionals are equipped to assist you with a variety of services, including alignments, brake repairs, oil changes, battery replacements, shock and strut installations, belt and hose replacements, and air conditioning services.
As an Automotive Service Specialist, your role will involve performing essential service tasks such as oil changes, tire and wheel services, alignments, fluid flushes, and more.
Working alongside our ASE Certified Automotive Technicians, you will receive the training necessary to advance your career in the automotive field.
COMPENSATION:
$16.00 per hour. This position offers a pathway to becoming a certified ASE Automotive Technician, marking the start of a rewarding career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport customers to and from their residences or businesses using company vehicles.
- Retrieve parts, supplies, tires, and other materials from vendors or the corporate office.
- Operate company vehicles safely and courteously, adhering to all traffic regulations.
- Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections ethically, following all company and state guidelines.
- Perform tire mounting, dismounting, wheel balancing, and tire rotation.
- Execute oil changes and other basic services as directed by the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
While performing basic services, you will assess the general condition of vehicles and report any obvious repair needs or safety concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
Utilize the company's Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order to accurately document vehicle conditions.
Maintain a clean and organized shop environment, including the service area, tire racks, showroom, and exterior, to ensure an inviting atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid/current driver's license
- Availability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
The Automotive Service Specialist will encounter moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous substances.
The work environment may experience temperature fluctuations, including extreme heat and cold based on external conditions.
The Automotive Service Specialist must meet the following physical requirements:
- Stand for up to eight hours daily in the shop and navigate various areas of the building.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly; must possess full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle, or manipulate objects frequently.
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to hear and speak clearly.
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and refocus as necessary.
