Job Summary

We are seeking a Cellar and Packaging Technician to join our Production team at our Production Brewery in Golden, Colorado.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Operations:
    • Clean and sanitize equipment, including tanks, pipes, and other brewery equipment.
    • Perform packaging operations, including canning, kegging, and bottling.
    • Work in a fast-paced brewery environment while maintaining the safety of yourself, your coworkers, and our Gluten-Free consumers.
    • Assist with brewing and cellaring operations, including wort production, fermentation, and carbonation.
    • Monitor and record quality control metrics, including pH, gravities, and CO2 levels.
    • Maintain accurate inventory in our inventory management system.
    • Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
    • Work closely with production and facilities to troubleshoot and optimize equipment.
  • Inventory Management and Orders:
    • Assist with tracking the inventory of necessary ingredients and materials.
    • Work with management to maximize quality and yields, while minimizing product loss and package dissolved oxygen levels.
    • Help with building and loading shipments of beer.
    • Stack and wrap pallets, and build orders for shipment.
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Operate a forklift as needed in a safe manner.
    • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and develop novel SOPs where necessary.
    • Handle dangerous chemicals according to safe practice, SDS, and SOPs.
    • Maintain safe and effective operation of all equipment.
Requirements
  • Must be 21+ years old.
  • Dedication to quality, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Ability to arrange priorities and multitask to independently manage time.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while respecting shared space.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, openness and willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience and confidence using specialty hand tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, mechanical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with inventory management systems, such as Ekos, a plus.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • GED or High school equivalent.
  • An ideal candidate will have 2+ years brewing/cellaring experience in a production setting.
  • Gluten-free production experience a major plus.
  • Equipment maintenance/minor repair a major plus.
  • A certificate/degree in brewing, or equivalent knowledge through experience a plus.
  • Forklift experience a plus (will be certified by Holidaily).
  • Packaging line operations, especially with Wild Goose line a major plus.
Physical Standards
  • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Able to stoop, crawl, twist, turn, lift, kneel, climb ladders and stairs.
  • Able to regularly lift/carry 50 pounds.
  • Able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with sometimes slippery floors.
  • Able to twist, bend, kneel, and work in a wet production environment.
  • Able to work in varying degrees of temperatures that is typical for a brewery.
  • The floor surface may vary.
  • Ability to tolerate a high-level work pace that is typical for the beverage production industry.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
