Job Description

KIPP SoCal Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Psychology Program Manager to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a network of high-performing, college-preparatory public charter schools serving over 9,800 students in grades pre-K through eighth in the greater Los Angeles area and San Diego.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, developing, observing, and consulting with school psychologists. They will provide consultation, manage assessment assignments, and ensure compliance at designated schools. Additionally, they will support the development of Specialized Student Support Teams (SSPTs) at designated schools.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in School Psychology, a PPSC (Pupil Personnel Services Credential) in School Psychology, and a minimum of 3 years of management experience of school counselors, school social workers, or other school-based mental health professionals. They will also have a strong understanding of current Special Education regulations and best practices.

The School Psychology Program Manager will participate in staff development, program development, and innovation of special methods and approaches in the school psychology field. They will collaborate with school administrators and general staff to effectively employ the special education and trauma-informed schools programs and provide compliance expertise at assigned sites.

The successful candidate will be a strong leader, advocate, and expert in school psychology and mental health. They will be responsible for providing consultation and guidance on special education services, assessment, and IEP implementation, as well as best practices in behavioral intervention and prevention.

The School Psychology Program Manager will report to the Managing Director of Student Services and will be a member of the Student Services Leadership team. They will work collaboratively with the School Leader and admin team at designated sites, as well as the Special Education team.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, team player, and problem-solver. They will have excellent leadership, management, and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in School Psychology
