Position Overview:
The City of Surprise is seeking a dedicated individual to fulfill the role of General Services Worker. This position is essential in facilitating various activities within Senior Services, promoting community outreach, and assisting with after-school programs. The ideal candidate should possess a friendly demeanor and thrive in collaborative environments. This role is expected to require approximately 18 hours of work per week.

Work Schedule:
Primarily Monday through Friday, with hours varying based on program requirements. This position plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the Human Service & Community Vitality Department, including the Senior Center, Resource Center, Community Initiatives, and the After School Program.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a wide range of routine support services to designated departments or units.
- Engage in clerical tasks, general labor, customer service, and other related duties as required by the department's daily operations.

Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience that equips the candidate with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position.

Licensing Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver license at the time of hire.

Selection Process:
Applicants whose qualifications align closely with the position's requirements may be invited to participate in a selection process, which may include a panel interview.

Successful candidates will undergo a comprehensive pre-employment background screening, which includes:
