- Licensure: A valid State Medical Physicist license with either ABR or ABMP is necessary.
- Experience: Candidates should possess 1 to 1.5 years of relevant experience for licensure and certifications.
The role involves understanding unit profiles, which are critical for identifying and recruiting qualified staff. Key responsibilities include:
- Unit Profiles: Gaining a comprehensive understanding of unit characteristics, including location, bed count, and patient ratios.
- Required Qualifications: A Master's Degree in a relevant field is mandatory, along with board certification and a State Medical Physicist license.
- Preferred Expertise: Familiarity with Monaco, Mosaiq, and Eclipse software is advantageous.
- Team Dynamics: Candidates should exhibit a collaborative spirit, adaptability, and strong communication skills.
- Shift Timing: Day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Hours: This is a PRN role with no guaranteed hours.
- Weekend Availability: Not applicable.
- On-Call Duties: No on-call requirements.
- Coverage: The physicist will provide coverage for multiple Radiation Oncology departments.
- Equipment: Experience with Elekta VersaHD and Varian VitalBeam is beneficial.
