Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at Bail Hotline. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining the daily transaction entry and reconciliation utilizing QuickBooks Enterprise Software. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and identify areas for improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business with emphasis in Accounting, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting. A strong understanding of financial principles, including GAAP, is essential. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the daily transaction entry and reconciliation utilizing QuickBooks Enterprise Software.
  • Analyze financial data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare monthly detail for General Journal entries.
  • Insure proper recording of new purchases and disposals.
  • Utilize and maintain our QuickBooks Accounting system.
  • Have the ability to analyze Payables and report metrics to management.
  • Prepare correspondence as needed within the department.
  • Assist Senior Accountant with payroll system and payroll related Accounting.
  • Assist in tracking and maintaining company insurance policy payments.
  • Perform such other Accounting or Financial tasks as may be required from time to time – quite often on short notice - by the Controller.
  • Prepare and Post Journal Entries.
  • Prepare and analyze Account Reconciliations.
  • Preform Audits at various stages throughout the Accounting Process.
  • Prepare reports detailing monthly expenses by cost center.
  • Analyze total corporate expenses, including comparisons to forecasted results and trended results.
  • Assist in preparing corporate forecast by cost center.
  • Invoice other related entity locations for intercompany charges.
  • Correspond with other corporate departments to ensure proper accounting for purchases and expenses.
  • Ad Hoc analyses as needed.
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses and be adept at explaining results.
  • Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
  • Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
  • Maintain or examine the records of government agencies.
  • Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of the month End Close process and ensure proper GAAP treatment and recording.
