Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and emergency repairs, evaluations, and installations of buildings and structures, facilities, and grounds maintenance.
  • Construct forms for pouring concrete footings, slabs, steps, walks, and repair foundations.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of hand tools, testing equipment, and power equipment characteristic of the various trades.
  • Use ammeter, voltmeter, test lamp, electric drill press, and various electrician hand tools.
  • Work from blueprints, work orders, plans, sketches, and other written specifications and/or oral instructions.
Requirements
  • Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the position without hazard to yourself or others.
Working Conditions

The incumbent will work under the direction of the front line manager for the assigned SSC but must work independently or with one to several other personnel on specific projects.

Education and Experience

Applicants must demonstrate that they are able to do the work of a Maintenance Mechanic under normal supervision and possess knowledge of the application of the following trade practice areas: carpentry, electrical, mechanical, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), and/or plumbing trades.
