We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Geosyntec Consultants. As a key member of our Geotechnical and Infrastructure Practice, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality geotechnical engineering services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with our geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists to support a wide range of clients and projects.
- Prepare proposals and budgets for new projects and opportunities.
- Plan and coordinate subsurface exploration programs, including client and stakeholder engagement.
- Perform geotechnical engineering analyses and calculations, including slope stability analyses, seismic evaluations, shallow and deep foundation design, ground improvement design, excavation and shoring evaluations, and other technical evaluations.
- Prepare written geotechnical reports, working with our dedicated editing, data, and mapping teams to create high-end deliverables.
- Effectively manage project schedules, scopes of work, and financial aspects, including profitability and invoicing.
- Develop new opportunities with existing clients through effective project delivery and client engagement.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, to share project information, objectives, and geotechnical engineering recommendations.
- Coordinate and oversee construction oversight programs to ensure successful project completion.
- Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities in geotechnical engineering, project and people management, and consulting.
- Bachelor's degree in civil or geological engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university with geotechnical engineering coursework.
- Professional Engineer's License in the State of Washington or ability to obtain it within 6 months of starting.
- At least 5 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of project management experience.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in a range of weather conditions in rugged and sometimes remote field locations.
- Ability to travel long distances and accommodate occasional overnight travel.
- Valid U.S. Driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.

Minimum Salary: $93,875
Maximum Salary: $122,040
