We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Weis Markets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the pharmacy manager with various tasks, including inventory management, patient care, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Control pharmaceutical inventories and order stock as needed.
- Weigh, measure, mix, and fill bottles with medications and other medical compounds.
- Provide advice to self-medicating patients and dispense non-prescription medications.
- Maintain open communication with healthcare professionals and perform patient immunizations regularly.
- In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, schedule pharmacy associates, reward and recognize performance, discipline associates as required, and assign work to effectively utilize skills and abilities.
- Assist in ongoing training and development of department personnel to improve performance, reduce turnover, and control labor costs.
- Help control department expenses by monitoring operations, ensuring labor goals are met, and reducing losses due to shrink.
- Respond to customer complaints and questions in an efficient and courteous manner.
- Identify areas to improve customer service and collaborate with the pharmacy manager to correct deficiencies.
