Job Overview

L3Harris is seeking an experienced Electrical Assemblies Technician to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products in a repetitive nature.

About the Role

This position requires strong mechanical skills and the ability to work under limited supervision once initial product training has been provided. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing individual programs from the time parts are issued to completion of all Assembly operations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end productsFollow detailed instructions to assemble electrical components and maintain consistent quality and productivity levelsIdentify problems and contribute to process improvementsPerform hand soldering on electronic assemblies for through hole components and all type of cables (i.e. wire, semi-ridge & coax)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience

Preferred Skills

  • Strong mechanical background
  • Able to Solder surface mounted components (SMT)
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and Bills of Material
  • J-STD-001 certification

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $50,000 - $62,500 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
