Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform procedures in accordance with all Laser protocols.
  • Set up and move ureteroscopy/laser equipment in the Operating Room prior to procedures.
  • Assist Urologists in performing ureteroscopy and laser procedures.
  • Ensure timely arrival at facilities, reporting at least 60 minutes prior to procedure start times.
  • Submit complete and legible treatment/billing logs in accordance with UMS' HIPAA policies and procedures.
  • Review and maintain inventory of supplies and cystoscopy equipment.
  • Confirm schedules, patient procedures, and start times with facilities.
  • Establish after-hours contact at each facility for equipment failure or emergency situations.
  • Maintain relationships with physician partners.
  • Update and review Policies & Procedure Manuals, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure equipment and supplies are properly maintained and prepared for procedures.
  • Notify service engineers of any malfunctioning equipment.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Certified Scrub Tech or Certified Surgical Technologist or similar background preferred.
  • Prior OR experience required.
  • Urology experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in an Operating Room setting.
  • Prior experience with Holmium Laser utilization for Urology procedures a plus.
  • Knowledge of sterilization protocols a plus.
