We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Visual Comfort. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, as well as maintaining compliance with government regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with payroll preparation, processing, and distribution
- Collaborate with HR team members on daily functions
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
- Assist with accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
- Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in data management and security, payroll processes, and technology
- Compile or assist with acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs requested by senior executives and HR team
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HR employees and managers
- 2+ years' experience in processing multi-state payroll
- Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Intermediate Excel experience required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function, including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Demonstrated knowledge with HRIS systems, experience with DayForce system is a plus
- Functional knowledge of reporting, PowerBI a plus
