Job Title: HVAC Engineer

TFE, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Engineer to support the design and repurposing of the Mixed Oxide Fuel (MOX) facility to the Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF).

Job Summary

The HVAC Engineer will provide technical direction to assigned engineers, conduct construction document reviews, and plan, organize, and coordinate mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear industry HVAC design work and design-related codes and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical direction to assigned engineers
  • Conduct construction document reviews
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects
  • Demonstrate design experience in the area of nuclear industry HVAC design work and design-related codes and standards
  • Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications
  • Familiarity with computer-aided drafting applications is required
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years (senior level) and 15 years (principal level) experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering (nuclear preferred)
  • Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design
  • Professional Engineer License preferred but not required
