Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Memorial Health. As a key member of our operating room team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a sterile environment and apply sterile and safe techniques to maintain patient safety and well-being.
  • Assist in preparation and draping of the patient, as well as operating room setup and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate and meet the needs of the surgeon and patients.
  • Identify and report any unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions.
  • Disassemble and decontaminate instruments and supplies, and maintain adequate supplies and par levels.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain proficiency in specialties and flexibility in all other areas.
  • Attend meetings and in-services to further professional growth and development.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience.
  • National certification and CPR certification required within 6 months of graduation or start date of employment.
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision, and to assign and/or review work as needed.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Working Conditions

This position is performed within an environment of frequent exposure to uncomfortable temperature levels, and/or potentially injurious elements or conditions and hazardous chemicals.
