Radiation Therapist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to provide high-quality radiation therapy procedures at our Cancer Centers in Waxahachie and Duncanville.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform radiation therapy procedures according to established protocols in a timely manner.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to ensure correct procedures are performed and establish rapport with patients and their families.
  • Prepare patients and the procedure area by properly positioning the patient, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting equipment controls.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including infection control, radiation safety, and proper sterile techniques during procedures.
  • Maintain and operate radiation therapy equipment, ensuring optimal performance by working with engineers and physicists.
  • Manage and maintain accurate medical imaging records and documentation, ensuring compliance with department policies.
  • Assist in inventory management, ensuring all necessary supplies are available for procedures.
  • Provide first aid and emergency care when needed, and maintain a calm demeanor under stress.
  • Serve as a preceptor, providing training to new team members and supporting the implementation of new services and initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Certification/License/Registration: Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
