The Facility Maintenance Worker is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and orderliness in various working environments, including offices and commercial establishments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining cleanliness in work areas and restrooms.
  • Sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors using appropriate equipment.
  • Vacuuming carpets and cleaning upholstered furniture.
  • Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.
  • Washing walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
  • Cleaning windows and door panels.
  • Emptying waste receptacles and cleaning smoking areas.
  • Transporting waste to designated disposal locations.
  • Ensuring restrooms are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Collaborating positively with team members to deliver quality service.
  • Adhering to professional conduct as per organizational policies.
  • Following safety protocols while operating cleaning equipment.
  • Completing all required training as mandated by Didlake.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma/GED or six (6) months of relevant experience.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary credentials/background checks.
  • Capable of following detailed oral instructions.
  • Strong communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Ability to interact positively with co-workers with disabilities.
