Speech Language Pathologist

The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating individuals of all ages with health-related conditions affecting functional activities within the speech language pathology scope of practice. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree, minimum 2 years of current experience, and be certified by ASHA. The Speech Language Pathologist will work autonomously yet collaboratively within a close-knit team, demonstrating initiative and follow-through. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to operate technology for daily functions, and have high integrity, able to follow procedures.
Responsibilities:
Perform bedside swallow evaluations and barium swallows when the current SLP is unavailable.
Diagnose and treat individuals of all ages with health-related conditions affecting functional activities within the speech language pathology scope of practice.
Administer and apply speech/language pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician.
Examine individuals and develop a plan of care using treatment techniques to restore or maximize function or to slow/prevent decline following disease or injury.
Coordinate, supervise, and delegate tasks to supportive staff.
Ensure and maintain personal competency in the field of speech language pathology.
Provide information related to departmental budget considerations in relation to speech pathology needs for optimal patient care and service.
Requirements:
Education: Master's Degree
Experience: Minimum 2 years current experience
Demonstrates initiative and follow-through
Able to practice autonomously yet work well within a close-knit team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to operate technology for daily functions as required by the organization and department standards
High integrity, able to follow procedures
Certification or Licenses Requirements: ASHA certification, Valid Speech Language License in New Hampshire
