Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mammography Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. As a Mammography Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography procedures using state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Position patients comfortably and safely for procedures, using proper technique and positioning to minimize discomfort and radiation exposure.
  • Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Provide excellent patient care and communication, ensuring patients are informed and comfortable throughout the imaging process.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures, images, and results.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques, participating in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Current ARRT registration in mammography and radiography.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in mammography, preferably in a hospital or imaging center setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to quality patient care and safety.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
