Fleet Technician II Job DescriptionAbout the Role

As a Fleet Technician II at Emergency Medical Services Authority, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet of vehicles. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining and repairing our vehicles, ambulances, and heavy equipment to ensure they are in top condition at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on company vehicles, including oil changes, tune-ups, and diagnostic repairs.
  • Accurately diagnose and repair mechanical issues with vehicles and equipment, adhering to manufacturer and ASE standards.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing to ensure vehicles and equipment are safe and operational.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless fleet operations.
  • Comply with all safety protocols and organizational policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent mechanical repair skills and knowledge of vehicle systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret service manuals.
  • Proficiency with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a fast-paced fleet environment. You will be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 150 pounds and work in various weather conditions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational/Technical school program or apprenticeship in auto repair or related field required.
  • ASE certifications.
  • Two years of related experience with Ford and Chevy diesel engine diagnosis and repair preferred.
Additional Requirements
  • Pass a background check and drug screen.
