Alterations Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Alterations Specialist to join our team at David's Bridal. As an Alterations Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing customer flow, and delivering five-star customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers with genuine enthusiasm and communicate clearly and concisely.
• Manage customer flow and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Maintain service levels by being prepared, welcoming, and meeting customer needs.
• Provide an exceptional service experience to multiple customers at once.
• Proactively address customer concerns and partner with leadership team.
• Promote alteration services and personalization options.
• Assist stylists in closing sales by consulting with customers regarding gown fit and customization.
• Maintain store standards to support a flawless shopping experience.
• Maintain a high standard of dress and comply with the Dress Code Policy.
• Greets and escorts alterations customers to and from appointments.
• Maintains quality control guidelines and inspects garments altered/steamed/pressed.
• Responds promptly to customer questions and provides product and service information.
• Builds long-term relationships with customers to meet and exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Maintains inventory management and processes special orders pick-ups.
• Ensure alteration pricing is at company standards.
• Manage alterations, fittings, and sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning of garments.
• Resolve customer service issues in a swift and effective manner.
• Supports cash wrap behaviors and processes transactions with accuracy.
• Maintain the alterations room so that it is consistently clean and well-organized.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent degree.
• 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
• Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment.
• Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is a plus.
