Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor and reduce customer PPM through in-process defect analysis and problem solving.
  • Lead the root cause and countermeasure activity for Customer, internal, and supplier related corrective actions.
  • Support the IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 management systems.
  • Maintain awareness of quality-related topics (customer issues, audits, etc.) with all NMMI personnel.
  • Review and submit new model PPAP documents such as PFMEA, control plans, PSW, etc.
  • Support departmental and company-wide suggestion systems by acting as a role model and resource for project completion.
  • Support department and company-wide 6S programs through leading by example and ensuring work areas meet company 6S targets.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, including direct interaction with customers and establishment as the first line of communication.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Problem-solving methodology (5 Why, Fishbone, etc.).
  • Blueprint reading/specification interpretation.
  • Quality Core Tools knowledge; certification a plus.
  • ISO 9001/IATF 16949 internal auditor experience; certification a plus.
