Job Summary:
Embark Behavioral Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Stabilization and Assessment program. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our residential treatment center.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to reports of pain or sickness as they arise and assess the student's condition.
- Determine when a student requires medical attention and coordinate with the Clinical Director and parents as needed.
- Accurately disperse student medications and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor students' vital signs and weight, and track narcotics usage.
- Communicate medical information to the Treatment Team and Psychiatrist.
- Assist night watch staff with student care and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of standard medical terminology and technique.
- Knowledge of legal charting procedures and requirements.
- Knowledge of medications and administration procedures.
- Knowledge of company policies and practices.
- Skill in using nursing tools and equipment.
- Skill in assessing physical conditions and communicating medical situations accurately.
- Ability to use word processing software and navigate networks.
- Experience with health insurance submission processes.
- Ability to check vital signs.
