Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Loyola University Health System. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and performing a variety of respiratory care procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform day-to-day respiratory care, including bronchial hygiene procedures, oxygen initiation and follow-up, and care of Emergency Room patients in need of respiratory services.
  • Set up and perform complex respiratory care procedures, such as continuous artificial ventilation and administration of medications.
  • Record patient data, including ventilatory volumes, pressure/flows, and blood gas analysis.

Requirements
  • Associate degree in respiratory care; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Current Illinois state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist at time of hire or must obtain within 6 months of employment.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care.
