Key Responsibilities:
- Coding and Data Management: Accurately assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes to patient records, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Medical Record Analysis: Review and analyze medical records to identify areas for improvement, ensuring accuracy and completeness of patient data.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to ensure accurate and timely coding and data management.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred.
- Certifications: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification preferred.
- Experience: 0-1 year of experience in health information management or related field preferred.
Work Environment:
