Job Overview

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Product Engineer to architect and design digital products using modern tools, technologies, frameworks, and systems. This includes applying scientific and technological knowledge, methods, and experience to design, implement, test, and document software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in inception and iteration planning meetings, contributing technical expertise while working closely with product managers.
  • Lead daily site, cross-site, and product team standups, promoting collaboration and feedback.
  • Engage in high-level and low-level component and system designs, ensuring efficient solutions.
  • Collaborate on performance improvements and tech review meetings, driving continuous growth.
  • Partner across product portfolios, aligning strategies with product managers and stakeholders.
  • Serve as an expert on business domains and advocate for multiple technology stacks, sharing knowledge across organizations.
  • Coach teams and lead practices in paired programming and test-driven development, ensuring high-quality software.
  • Establish continuous integration, delivery, and deployment pipelines, promoting efficiency and quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (4 years preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience (preferred).
Functional Skills
  • Hands-on experience in architecting, designing, implementing, and delivering large-scale distributed systems and applications for the cloud, including microservices architectures and 12-factor principles.
  • Experience developing REST APIs using Java Spring boot, including tooling for documentation, versioning, service discovery, testing, and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new languages quickly, including JavaScript, Java, Ruby, Python, Golang, and others.
  • Knowledge in web and API security, authentication, authorization, OAuth, OWASP, OpenID, and SAML.
  • Experience in backend development design and implementation, database management, messaging, and big data development.
  • Responsive web front-end and single-page application development using modular JavaScript.
  • Experience with distributed version control systems, artifact management systems, build and packaging systems, and continuous integration tools.
  • Actual experience in eXtreme Programming or agile environments and paired programming/engineering models.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $85,600 - $152,650 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
