Physician - Gastroenterology Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gastroenterology Physician to join our team at Ascension Health. As a Gastroenterology Physician, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with various gastrointestinal disorders, recommending and participating in efforts to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care, and accepting patient referrals from other physicians.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
- Recommend and participate in efforts to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
- Accept patient referrals from other physicians and act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses.
- Participate in academic programs, such as medical education and research, as requested.
- Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements and appeal all denials in a timely manner.
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on-call schedules.

Requirements- One or more of the following required: Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice or the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board.
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
