Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team at Apex Mechanical & Fabrication, Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience working in industrial, commercial, and institutional environments, with a strong background in fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal products and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment
  • Operate hand and power tools, as well as various equipment and instruments
  • Work safely in accordance with the Apex Safety Management System and adhere to all company rules and regulations
  • Review and understand job hazards prior to starting work and check that the work to be performed is safe
  • Attend and actively participate in all safety meetings as required

Requirements:

  • High School Education or Equivalent
  • Certification(s) from Trade School in construction or laborer work and ability to pass similar skills assessment testing
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work alone or in a team environment
  • At least one year prior experience in construction or petrochemical industry
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions and convey job-related information to others

Work Environment:

This job typically requires work in industrial, commercial, and institutional environments, including petrochemical plants, refineries, terminals, power houses, mechanical rooms. Working conditions may be hot or cold and require movement in cramped spaces, climbing, crawling, stooping, and reaching.
