Job Description

Phoenix Senior Living is seeking a skilled Cook to join their team.

The ideal candidate will report directly to the Food and Beverage Director and be responsible for all food preparation to meet quality, quantity, and service schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals, maintain sanitation of food service areas, and adhere to posted menus and production sheets.
  • Prepare food items using approved recipes and maintain accurate records of food production, inventory, and regulatory compliance.
  • Organize work to meet production and service requirements, monitor food items for temperature, taste, and quality, and maintain sanitary conditions to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Operate dish machines and wash and sanitize all dishes, china, silverware, glassware, utensils, and cookware.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information and review resident diet books, confidential diet boards, and data cards.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.
  • One year of job-related experience, including food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets.
  • Maintain a current SERV Safe certificate or be able to participate in food services sanitation training to become SERV Safe Certified.
