Job SummaryWe seek a skilled Operating Room Nurse to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a circulating or scrub nurse, you will provide safe and effective nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Coordinate the setup of instruments and equipment in the operating room, utilizing preference cards and anticipating the needs of surgeons.
- Facilitate smooth transitions between surgical procedures, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
- Utilize proper body mechanics when moving patients to prevent injury.
- Manage patient care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- At least one year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
- An active RN license in good standing, as required by your state of employment or compact licensure.
- Valid BCLS certification upon hire (online certifications are not acceptable).
- ACLS certification, as required by our facility.
- CNOR certification is preferred.
