We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced and technologically advanced environment. This role involves caring for patients who are critically ill or unstable due to severe injuries, surgical procedures, or life-threatening conditions.
The CTICU RN plays a vital role in monitoring patients in a specialized unit, ensuring their clinical needs are met with precision and expertise. This position requires the ability to recognize subtle hemodynamic changes that may lead to serious complications, necessitating immediate and effective interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage complex medical equipment, including ventilators and telemetry monitors.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care.
- Monitor and manage invasive tubes, lines, drains, and assist devices.
- Provide care for patients experiencing hemodynamic instability.
- Administer vasopressors and inotropes as needed.
- Manage ventilator settings and care for intubated patients.

Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of one year of acute care experience.
- Preferred experience in a Cardiac Surgery ICU setting.
- Proficient in managing all invasive lines and devices.
- Experience with open chest codes and critical care protocols.
