Job Title: Assistant Professor of Directing

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor of Directing to join our Theater Department at Skidmore College. The successful candidate will have a strong background in directing and a passion for teaching and mentoring students.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct productions in our season
  • Teach directing at all levels
  • Mentor students in directing projects
  • Teach required and elective courses in the BS curriculum
Requirements:
  • Terminal degree (e.g., MFA, PhD)
  • Experience working with undergraduates
  • Professional experience in directing
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Secondary area of expertise or interest in Queer and/or Trans Theater
  • Expertise in Dramaturgy, and/or Acting with an emphasis on intimacy and combat
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary range: $75,000 - $85,000
