Market of Choice in South Eugene is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Cheese Steward.

We are a high-energy, team-oriented environment that creates an inviting in-store experience with friendly, knowledgeable, and customer service-oriented Cheese Stewards. This position offers a competitive hourly rate, with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in selecting and recommending artisan cheeses, charcuterie, and specialty accompaniments.
  • Conduct in-store tastings and pairings to showcase our products.
  • Create cheese plates and gift baskets to meet customer needs.
  • Ensure the proper care and storage of items sold in the Market Cheese Shops.
  • Check in deliveries and log invoices daily.
  • Maintain a clean and organized Cheese Shop and sales area, adhering to Market of Choice food safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Possess a passion for food and an interest in artisan cheeses from around the world.
  • Have creative merchandising skills and superior customer service skills.
  • Be able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
