Job Summary
Ryder System is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team. As a Regional Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations across the country, ensuring timely and safe transportation of cargo.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a tractor-trailer combination vehicle to transport goods from one location to another.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo, using manual or electric pallet jacks as needed.
- Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers to coordinate routes and schedules.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to improve driving skills and knowledge of company policies.
Requirements
- Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
- Pass a DOT physical.
- Pass a Ryder road test.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
