Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and carry out work orders, blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions
  • Clamp parts into jigs or holding fixtures
  • Clean burrs, spatter, and weld flux from assemblies
  • Hand-count material for inventory purposes
  • Wear and maintain protective clothing and equipment, including a welding helmet, welding gloves, cotton clothing, safety glasses, and steel-toe safety shoes
Requirements
  • Successfully complete a plant-administered welding test
  • Regular attendance is essential
Work Environment

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts that require special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritating chemicals. You may be required to use protective clothing or gear, such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands

The work requires some physical exertion, including long periods of standing, walking, and moving a minimum of 50 pounds assisted or unassisted.
