Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Burke, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality echocardiograms on pediatric and fetal patients
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to obtain clinical history and informed consent
- Identify errors and take immediate action for corrections
- Assist technical director in obtaining or maintaining IAC accreditation
- Act as a preceptor and resource for students and new sonographers
- Maintain proper operation of ultrasound equipment
- Participate in staff development, in-service workshops, and educational activities
- Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound school or five years of specialized training in a hospital/healthcare setting
- Recent experience in a hospital/healthcare environment as a sonographer or sonographer student
- ARDMS or CCI registered with RDCS or RDMS certification in pediatric and/or fetal echocardiography, OB/GYN, adult echocardiography
- BLS Certification from AHA
