Breastfeeding Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Breastfeeding Specialist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our pediatric care team, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of our patients and their families.

• Provide expert lactation care and support to breastfeeding mothers and their babies, including assessment, education, and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with inter-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal breastfeeding outcomes.
• Develop and implement individualized lactation plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care and support.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance lactation care and services.

• Minimum one year of experience in obstetric and/or newborn nursing.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse License (Hawaii) required at hire.
• International Board Lactation Consultant Examiners Certificate from the International Board of Certified Lactation Consultants.
