Job Summary:
The Business Analyst will be responsible for eliciting, identifying, and documenting business and functional requirements. This includes writing user stories, creating business requirement documents, and developing UI mock-ups, process maps, decision trees, and other diagrams to support product development activities driven by the Product Roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform requirements elicitation and modeling, analysis, problem-solving, and artifact production.
- Utilize formal and informal written communication methods to communicate requested product development changes.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to elicit, document, and model requirements to support writing features and user stories.
- Analyze and translate business requirements to identify impacts, trends, and gaps.
- Understand and negotiate feature needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders.
- Partner with product management and other teams within the organization to provide and share expert knowledge of designated areas.
- Facilitate requirements and other meetings and presentations for diverse audiences.
- Facilitate backlog refinement meetings and clearly explain requirements to Agile teams.
- Lead interactive and controlled meetings to elicit business processes.
- Assess business processes, uncover system inefficiencies, and recommend solutions.
- Provide product thought leadership and demonstrate fluency in understanding business processes.
- Perform other functions such as quality assurance testing and other duties as needed.
- Own and deliver multiple projects, on an ongoing, long-term, and ad-hoc basis.
- Provide day-to-day support and evaluation of production questions and issues.
Requirements:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in a business-related field, or computer science, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of business analysis experience.
- Business analyst certification (e.g. IIBA-ECBA, PMI-PBA).
