About UsEngen Contracting, Inc. (ECI) is a commercial general contractor that builds sound structures with construction costs ranging from $1.5 million to $10 million per project. Our projects include ground-up Retail, Restaurants, Self-Storage, Office-Warehouses, Medical, General Office, and Child Development facilities. Headquartered in Austin, we serve the Central Texas area and target major markets.
The Ideal Candidate- Must have experience in project scheduling, maintaining weekly updates, and utilizing MS Projects.
- OSHA Trained/Certified (30 Hour) is preferred.
- Strong safety enforcement and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to coordinate inspections, generate punch lists, and verify subcontractor change orders.
- Clear and assertive communication with Owners, Architects, and other consultants is critical.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive mentality are necessary.
- Maintain ethical business practices and interpret blueprints.
- Experience with city building and development departments, as well as knowledge of horizontal and vertical construction.
- Dependable transportation and willingness to work after hours are required.
- Absolutely no alcohol or drugs in the workplace.
- Acceptable background checks and drug tests are a condition of hire.
- ECI conducts a personality assessment to ensure cultural fit.
- A valid Texas Driver's License is required (out-of-state candidates have 60 days to obtain a valid Texas Driver's License).
- This is a long-term relationship position, not a traveling superintendent role.
- ECI does not provide sponsorship for employment visa status.
- Commercial Construction Lead Superintendents with only residential or multi-family-only construction experience will not be considered.
