Overview

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing our production eCommerce environments, ensuring seamless system health and performance. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll drive operational improvements, system uptime, and website performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop proactive monitoring, reporting, and analytics tools to prevent issues and enhance system resilience.
  • Implement fault-tolerant and redundant systems to minimize downtime and ensure high availability.
  • Participate in incident response efforts during system outages or performance degradation, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and knowledge articles, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Utilize industry trends, research organizations, and technical conferences to identify opportunities for improving system capabilities.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements and foster a safe atmosphere for testing ideas, coordinating across teams, and influencing teams developing or testing innovations.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of five years of Systems Engineering experience, with hands-on experience in system reliability and performance.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic and performance monitoring tools, with expertise in Dynatrace or similar tools preferred.
  • Broad technical skills with common software systems, including front-end web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ReactJS & jQuery preferred.
  • Experience with RESTful API and/or GraphQL services.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or SAP Cloud.
  • Specialized expertise in multiple technologies, including common web stacks, networking, monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build professional relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization, including clear and concise writing.
  • Ability to identify complex problems, develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Software Engineering or related technical field or equivalent work experience.
