Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Travel Nurse for our Medical-Surgical Unit at CHRISTUS St. Vincent. As a Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to Medical-Surgical patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of New Mexico or compact license.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing, with a focus on orthopedic care.
  • Previous travel nursing experience, with a strong understanding of the challenges and rewards of travel nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with American Heart Association (AHA) certification preferred.
  • NIHSS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.
