Balfour Beatty is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist project management in managing project budgets, controlling expenses, and administering owner and subcontractor billings.
- Establish procedures for controlling contract drawings and initiate the building permit process.
- Responsible for proactive administration of reviewing and processing all submittal data and shop drawings to ensure project schedules are expedited and materials are delivered on time.
- Conduct preconstruction meetings with subcontractors and serve as the onsite quality manager for assigned trades.
- Attend and participate in meetings with Architect/Engineer and owner representatives, providing information and assisting the Project Manager in the preparation of progress reports/meeting minutes.
- B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field position.
- 5 to 10 years of construction experience preferred, with Water/Wastewater, Stormwater, or Rail construction experience a plus.
- Organizes people, tools, and equipment and plan/manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
- Makes decisions under tight deadlines, sometimes with incomplete information.
- Exhibits commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes and make necessary changes, using customer input to make improvements, and meeting/exceeding internal and external customer expectations.
- Salary position: $100K-$155K (depending on experience)
