Piedmont Augusta Hospital Job Description

This position is a full-time opportunity to work nights, from 7 pm to 7:30 am, with rotating weekends. As a Charge Nurse on the Pulmonary and GI Unit, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during your shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical care as needed when census demands.
  • Communicate patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s).
  • Serve as a resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a nursing program.
  • One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting required.
  • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced certification in the field of specialty, if applicable.
