Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Security Guard to join our team at Draper Labs. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees, facilities, and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor CCTV and access control systems to detect and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Respond to alarms and emergency calls from employees, dispatching guards and safety personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the facility, identifying and reporting security, facility, or safety-related issues.
  • Verify the badges of incoming employees and contractors, issuing badges to visitors who have been vetted through Visitor Control.
  • Escort visitors and contractors as required, ensuring that company and personal property is signed in and out of the facility.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Basic reading, writing, and communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • First Responder, CPR, or AED certification preferred.
