Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team for a 3-month project. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing food samples, particularly Kettle chips, and maintaining accurate lab records.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and grind food samples for analysis to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of analysis and prepare detailed reports of analytical results.
  • Understand basic principles of instrument operation and detection methods.
  • Perform routine maintenance on instruments and maintain a logbook of equipment usage.
  • Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the ISO Quality Manual.
  • Maintain Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Quality Assurance (QA) standards for current chemical methodologies, addressing any issues promptly and efficiently.
Qualifications
  • Pursuing or completing an undergraduate degree in a science-related field such as biochemistry, biology, chemistry, environmental biology, epidemiology, genetics, microbiology, molecular biology, or public health.
  • 0-5 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, ideally involving biological or chemical analyses.
  • Experience working in government, private, or academic laboratories is preferred.
  • Familiarity with LIMS or similar software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow SOPs, and a passion for lab work.
