About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Carilion Clinic Family Medicine - Galax. As an LPN in this outpatient setting, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and current medications
  • Prepare patients for provider evaluations, including obtaining specimens and positioning for exams
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including exam and treatment rooms
  • Document patient information in the electronic medical record
  • Provide patient education and support, including lab results and medication instructions
  • Assist with referral authorizations and lab procedures
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
  • Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Virginia (LPN)
  • One year of experience in a physician office or similar setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
